Kinetic Illusions: Kent Divers

Opening: Friday, July 4, 5 to 7 pm

Divers has been a professional photographer for most of his life, but fine art photography has always been his passion. His new style, incorporating intentional camera movement into his photos, began about three years ago. HE began experimenting with camera movement during each exposure. The movement of the camera is a natural extension of his physical activity. His photographic expression has landed with a mid-range Canon digital camera as the perfect tool for capturing the desired movement of living beings and inanimate objects with the understanding through physics that everything is always in motion. These photographs are all created using hand-held, single exposures in camera with just minor color adjustments afterward. No Photoshop of AI manipulation is used.

Trevor J Donlon will provide the music for the opening reception. Trevor has been actively performing in the Finger Lakes Region since 2019. He continues to widen his range of musical genres, while playing at local establishments and private venues. He is pursuing a degree in Music Business, Production, and Recording at the Geneseo State University of New York. He is also the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of The Vivid Scene.

Lake Drum Brewing is a collective of artists crafting beers and ciders indicative of the creative experimental style of the Geneva revolution.
